I went to Golokam

"I went to Golokam…"To see him in person - the
divine little cowherd, the
savior of Gokulam,
I went to Golokam, I went
to my Lord's abode.
-----
Gopis all around blissful and bovine,
In their midst saw I, a palace so fine,
My eyes wet, tears pouring down as a rain,
To get to Achyutan's feet, the end divine,
(I went to Golokam, I went to my Lord's abode)
-----
Doors opened!, and Kannan came near,
A graceful embrace, his face close to my ear,
A few words, a divine whisper,
A promise, he'd forsake never,
And said, "Sath-guru is I", soft, but clear.
(I went to Golokam, I went to my Lord's abode)

This super natural, super conscious experience was penned down by Sri Swamigal
( in tamil) thus:

One night, I as usual returned to my room and laid down in my cot…
'Am I sleeping or is this a super conscious state in Meditation?'
I couldn't put my finger on exactly; it is as if I am in a trance; but I experience an unusual wave of bliss, which is totally novel to me! I suddenly experience a sharp pain all over my body.

What a surprise! A new body comes forth from my body. This new body sees my "other " body sleeping! Then I feel as if my body is sailing off in air somewhere. I am not in my control! But all along, that new experience of pure bliss and joy persists….
At last the body lands in some place, which is a totally different world. There I see many groups of women folk with their cloth covering their face as well, like the women folk of Rajasthan. I see these women in groups singing and dancing, yet not creating as much sound, as I thought that it should have! I only hear the sound of the group on which my eyes dwell upon! The whole world is bright and luminous! There are many cows, varieties of mansions and "Gopurams".

'Oh!, can a world be as beautiful and wonderful like this?'
'What is this place?'
At once, from somewhere deep within, I could hear a voice …
'This is GOLOKAM' (Lord Krishna's abode)
'Oh! so this is Golokam, the world of Sri Krishna! So, My lord has to be somewhere here!'
'How can I see him? How to have a glimpse of you , My Lord!'
I feel very perplexed and a little agitated too!
While I am fighting my tears, a big path appears before me. I intuitively take that as the path to reach Sri Krishna and I start running along the path. Someone stops me….
'Where are you running to?'
'To get to the lotus feet of Achyutan'
I can't control my tears, I weep and weep. The bystander just looks on without a word. I continue my run along this wonderful path. I behold a beautiful out-of-the-world palace (Mani Mandapam) with very intricate and wonderful decorations on the palace, made to the minutest detail. My path leads to this palace and ends there!
From a distance, I could make out that the palace is closed, but when I am just near the doors of the palace, the doors magically open.
The sight I behold inside.., its incredible; It looks like I will totally lose my breath. Even joy if it goes beyond a limit cannot be borne!. I understand this too, by this experience.
Yes!
.. the one whose glimpse is earnestly sought after by Brahma, Rudran, all devas, yogis and other celestial beings,
..the one who is the real embodiment of true love,
..the one who is called " Krishna" by the devotees who struggle to bear his love and grace
is sitting on an ornate throne with his lips playing a lovely smile!. Many, are sitting in front of Sri Krishna, singing Bhajans. When I see one of them, something in me tells that he is Oothukaadu Venkata Kavi, another, my intuition says is Sri Purandara Dasar. Like them, there are many many devotees in the hall...
Sri Gopalan looks up towards me and the four eyes meet,
He lovingly beckons me to come near him by a slight nod of his head.
I, dazed and wonderstuck, go near with bated breath and with my heart pounding. He immediately clasps me in a loving embrace and says a few things to me....
Suddenly I find that I am lying in my bed.
'Did I dream all this?'
'Was this all a hallucination!!'
'Or was this a divine vision?' I wasn't very sure.
'Let it be anything, when the very thought of this incident itself is so exhilarating and joyful, why worry about all these?!!'
